A simple get together for like-minded creatives and artists to chat, learn, discuss ideas and get support. It’s also a good time to get feedback from the group, share news, reflect on the past weeks and talk about all things creatives.. It’s about building a more robust community where the support comes from the community itself.
Deborah Henry-Pollard is a creative coach and author. She works with creative professionals internationally who want to find clarity, overcome blocks, get into action & thrive.
She has run her own coaching company, Catching Fireworks, since 2009 and prior to that worked in the arts and charity sectors.
“Debs combines years of experience and expertise with a wealth of wisdom, dedication, generosity and warmth. I have known Debs professionally and personally for about 4 years. I undertook a 4 hour planning session with her as a way of reviewing my business and can highly recommend her. She is an excellent human being with masses of emotional intelligence so if you need some gentle accountability, a cheerleader and someone who will believe in and encourage you when you can’t to it yourself… then Debs is for you!”
The Design Trust, an organisation supporting designer-makers which has a network of over 60,000, counts Deborah as one of their recommended creative business coaches.
She is a Trustee for ArtCan, a non-profit arts organisation supporting artists through profile raising activities and exhibitions, an open network of ‘likeminded’ peers, and practical support structures.
Deborah’s coaching book, ‘What’s Your Excuse for not Succeeding as an Artist’, was published by WYE Publishing in October 2018.
Deborah has spoken and led workshops for organisations including: Sotheby’s Fine Art Institute; Chester Literature Festival; Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize; West Dean College; Cass Art; Roy’s Art Fair; Wimbledon Art Studios; University of East London; University of Exeter; The Design Trust; Association of Women Art Dealers.
