Kent Creative Connect

Building a thriving community for creatives in Kent

With Meet-ups and One day events, Kent Creative Connect provides opportunities to learn and  create fruitful connections:

  • develop relationships with other creatives, make new contacts and chat to like-minded people at meet-ups
  • benefit from peer group encouragement (supporting and being supported)
  • develop collaborations and partnerships
  • share your skills and ideas
  • promote your work

Meet-ups

It’s all about people and relationships. Some that you build over time by meeting the same people again and again (developing mutual knowledge and trust) and other that you create by meeting new people.

Working on your own as a freelance can be quite lonely sometimes. You will meet like-minded people, entering debates, receiving support, live enthusiasm, mutual understanding, motivation, feedback, advice etc…leading to raised confidence, and things triggered in your own to move forward.

  • Our online meet-ups take place on the the second Friday or each month and are free to attend to anyone with an active Premium Profile in our online directory Culture in Kent.
“This is a wonderful service you are providing  to the arts and creative communities in Kent. Well done!” Richard Belfield
“Good range of artists, good experience in their areas and a wealth of experience and talent to be harnessed and hopefully encouraged to work together in some creative and productive sense as time goes on.”Alex Hare
“The rich and broad talents offered by people there and their delightful philosophical interludes made it a great and productive hour well spent.”Sophie Jongman
“As enjoyable and as useful as expected. Being able to see, meet talk to and listen to other creatives is always great and today was no exception.” Derek Seaward
  • Our live meet-ups currently take place at Nucleus Arts in Chatham the first Tuesday of each month between 10:30am and 12:30am. They are free to attend. Check the calendar and book for the next one.

Our FREE meet-ups combine opportunities to meet other artists and practitioners with talks by experts.  They are simple get togethers with like-minded creative people chatting away, to include:

  • Presentation(s)
  • One-to-ones
  • Group discussions
  • Opportunities to discuss projects/prototypes/ideas with the group and get useful feedback.

Creatives talk about their career, work, techniques and guest speakers cover topics on a wide range of creative issues, such as marketing, social media and much more…

There is plenty of time for chat and networking – many rewarding personal and professional relationships have started there.
