‘A Year in the Life of Whitstable’ ran from 4th July to 31st August 2014 at the Whitstable Museum and Gallery
150 people attended the private view on 4th July 2014. During the evening, speeches were made by Joanna Jones (Director of Museums and Galleries at Canterbury City Council), Manda Gifford (Coastal Museums Officer at Canterbury City Council), Nathalie Banaigs (Project Manager), and Sandi Toksvig who declared the exhibition opened.
The event also included a prize ceremony for the Whitstable Photo competition that was run as a side event during the 365 project in 2013. Winner Matt Linehan received his prize from Brian Aris who handed over a signed print of his own work.
It concluded with Sandi Toksvig and Brian Aris signing 365 books for visitors.
