I’m Tim Brown, I’m 59 years old & am the owner of E Street Music Ltd. I live in Faversham.
What’s your story with Faversham?
I opened E Street Music in Faversham in 2002 & moved here to live a few years later & love the town & its character.
What is important to you in the town?
Faversham is quite a unique town being larger than a village but not as big as most towns, giving it a ‘large village’ feeling which I like. We are very lucky to have some fantastic small shops here also, who thrive on the locals coming to shop.
Why did you decide to take part in the project?
I have followed 365 for a few years now & love the pictures in the project that show a lot of the detail about the town & its surroundings that are often missed in the buzz of everyday life. I am also interested in photography & just wish I had more time to partake in it.
Which camera do you use?
I have a couple of nice digital SLR cameras which sadly I don’t use often enough nowadays, but with the vastly improved camera on my iPhone, I have managed to get some great shots as it’s always with me. Also, being a CAA registered drone ‘pilot’ I enjoy taking arial shots that are allowable within the regulations.
What do you most like to photograph in the town?
I find that some of the best photographs are the spontaneous ones that simply aren’t planned.
Have you learnt anything about the town that you didn’t know before taking part in the project?
Just the things that I’ve seen in photographs that I hadn’t seen before, other people’s perspectives.
Have you got any thought / tips /pieces of advice you could share with somebody wanting to get involved?
Carry a camera or good phone camera with you … you never know what opportunities will appear!
